Australian Kelpie - Border Collie - Young - Female
Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Hi there! My name is Georgia. I’m new to the rescue but boy do I have sweet personality. I am super shy and unsure when I first meet you but if you show me some love I warm up fast! I look to humans for guidance and reassurance. If you are good to me I will ask for head scratches and try to get you to play with me and I will follow you anywhere. Noises and quick actions scare me a little until I figure out nothing bad is going o happen to me. I like to run and play with other dogs. I am quiet in my crate, ride like a champ in the car, and walk pretty good on a leash. I need a quiet home with consistency. I know with your help I could be a great partner when you go hiking , walking or running. I am completely black, weigh about 40+ pounds, and am about 2 years old.

All stock dogs need lots of mental and physical stimulation to be happy and to stay out of trouble. A short walk around the block is not going to be sufficient. Herding breeds do best when they have a ”job” to do which occupies most of their day. This can be herding livestock, horseback riding, hiking in the mountains or on the beach, mountain biking, playing extended games of fetch, or agility games. They are incredibly smart and love to learn tricks and solve problems. Be sure that you research this breed carefully before committing to living with a herding dog.

Puppies require a 200.00 RUFUNDABLE spay or neuter deposit
