7/1/19 Meet “Pippin!” He’s a four month-old border collie from “working parents.” He is being raised with adult stock dogs and a dog-savvy cat with sheep and cattle next door. He has been camping in the woods and has been around a tractor, riding lawnmower, weed whacker, power tools, and vehicles. Pippin is very treat-motivated, very responsive to humans and will come when whistled to. He has been neutered and chipped, is up to date on his shots, and has been wormed. Pippin is nearly housebroke (only the occasional accident), is crate trained, will walk on a leash and knows “sit” and “shake hands.” He is pretty laid back and is very quiet with a nice “off-switch,” yet he gladly joins in when it is time for a good romp or game of Chuck It Ball. He is not a “kissy” dog but likes to be petted and praised and loves to fall asleep on the couch with his head in my lap at night. Of course, he will need LOTS of exercise and a “job” to do or he will not be happy. Without a “job” to do most border collies make up their own ways to stay occupied which can including digging, herding people, destructive chewing, cat chasing and other bad habits. So preference will be given to rural farms, ranches, horseback homes, agility trainers, and other situations that can keep Pippin mentally and physically challenged.

His adoption fee is $400 which includes a “goody bag,” his medical records and a free wellness exam from one of our local vet partners.
