HUNAH is a foster-based rescue which means the number of dogs we can help is limited by the number of foster homes we have available. Currently, we have a network of around thirty foster homes throughout Oregon and the northwest where dogs are placed temporarily until we find a new permanent home for them. We rely on our foster homes to help us place as many dogs as possible each year. Because we have no shelter, our foster program is key to our organization’s success. Becoming a foster home is a rewarding and fun way to volunteer. If you are interested in helping to save a life, HUNAH will make sure you have all the tools you need to successfully foster one of our dogs in need.
